Nanduti

本書は2015年6月に誠文堂新光社から発行した日本初のニャンドゥティの解説書、『パラグアイに伝わる虹色のレース ニャンドゥティ』のスペイン語版です。 Nanduti is a type of traditional lace from Paraguay, in South America. It is one of Paraguay's most representative crafts, passed down from generation to generation and closely linked to the daily life and artistic expression of Paraguayan women. It is distinguished by its wide variety of patterns and, above all, by its vibrant and colorful use of threads. This book is the Spanish version of the first comprehensive guide to nanduti published in Japan, entitled “The Rainbow-Colored Lace of Paraguay: Traditional Patterns and How to Make Them,” which was published by Seibundo Shinkosha on June 17, 2015. This Spanish edition explains in detail the basics of creating circular motifs selected from traditional nanduti patterns. We hope that this work will be of great use to Spanish speakers living in Japan, to those who are learning Spanish, and to all those who wish to learn more about this beautiful craft. We also hope that this book will contribute to spreading the charm of nanduti in Paraguay, its homeland, and in other Spanish-speaking countries.
