He obtained a Ph.D. in Public Law at the Graduate School of Law of Kyoto University in 2008. Subsequently, he was appointed as assistant professor at the same academic institution. In 2013, he became associated professor at the Graduate School of Law of Osaka University. Currently, he teaches Japanese Constitutional law and Comparative Constitutional law at the Faculty of Law of Dokkyo University.
